UPDATE: #aam2011?

Hash tags are a great way to follow a certain topic on Twitter. All the information is collected in one place and you can keep track of all the exciting things going on with one simple search.

Thus, I introduce you to #aam2011.  Get used to the sight of her. (Please note – the hash tag to use is #aam2011, not her sneaky twin sister #aam11)

You might have noticed on the right sidebar of the AAM website that we’ve already been using the hash tag, but we wanted to give her an official unveiling.

We also want to remind you that we want to hear about how you’re getting ready for Houston and what you’re doing while you’re in town for the conference.  Feel free to comment below and/or start tweeting about it!

You’ll be seeing more of #aam2011 during the next week on Twitter and definitely a whole bunch May 22–25. Be on the look out!

Houston on the Cheap: METRO Airport Direct gets you to or from downtown for less than $5!

Hey AAM attendees!  As one never to pass a good deal, I want to share this with you. . .

If you’re flying into Houston via Bush Intercontinental Airport and plan on staying at one of the downtown host hotels, please consider taking the new METRO Airport Direct luxury shuttle between the airport and downtown. For only $4.50 (vs. an approx. $45 cab ride), you can ride in comfort aboard a super-clean, roomy, comfortable shuttle with cool AC and the ability to spread out.

The shuttle leaves from the airport baggage claim area and is very fast, with stops at many downtown hotels. Chances are, if it doesn’t stop at yours, you’ll only need to walk a couple bocks. It does make round trips from the GRB Convention Center hotel (Hilton Americas-Houston), among many others.

You can find a schedule, map and everything else you need to know by clicking here.

And check out the poster below.

Safe travels and we’ll see you in Houston!
